Enter the Mercedes-Benz Club of America Fall Raffle to win the Ultimate Dream Prize!
Event starts on October 15th, 2023, and ends on December 1st, 2023. Tickets are $50(US) each. No limit to the number of tickets you can buy. You don’t need to be a member to purchase raffle tickets. The drawing will be held on December 7th at 10:30 am ET.
OFFICIAL RULES. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2023.
1. You must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen.
2. Credit and debit cards accepted. Payments made by check/money order must be in U.S. funds. Checks must be exclusively for the payment of the ticket(s) and not include other purchases or renewal payments.
3. Void where prohibited by law.
4. An Official Order form, or copy thereof, must be used to purchase tickets when ordering by mail. Order form is available upon request from the National Business Office (NBO) or at raffle@mbca.org. Mail order form requests to: MBCA Raffle, 10 Boulder Crescent Street, Suite 200 Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
5. Ticket orders must be received no later than December 1, 2023. Ticket orders and checks arriving after December 1, 2023 will be returned to sender.
6. All ticket sales are final at the time of purchase. There are no refunds.
7. Tickets will only be issued in the name of the purchaser. Prizes will be awarded on the same basis. Winning tickets cannot be assigned, transferred or sold.
8. Paid staff, contractors of MBCA and The Star° magazine, their immediate families and household members may not participate in the Raffle.
9. Odds of winning will be based on the number of tickets sold.
10. Prize winners must complete a form from the NBO and return it within 45 days of the mailing of written notification of winning.
11. The drawing will be held and certified at 2600 W Big Beaver Rd, #300, Troy, MI 48084 at 10:30 a.m. ET on December 7, 2023. Any MBCA member may attend the drawing; attendance is not required to win. Results will be posted at www.mbca.org. Should extenuating circumstances occur preventing the drawing from taking place at the above-mentioned time and/or place, notice will be given to participants in the manner of the contact information that the contestants provided at the time of entry. Please make sure that your contact information is accurate before submittal. Notice will be given to participants as promptly as possible and will provide updated information on raffle.
12. The raffle is sponsored by MBCA, International Stars Section and ticket requests are subject to its acceptance. This Raffle is licensed under the laws of the State of Michigan. License Number R71623.
13. A minimum of 4,342 tickets MUST BE SOLD to award prizes. the winner will receive $98,540 less 24% tax-withholdings. The winner may shop for their vehicle at the dealership of their choice. If fewer than 4,342 tickets are sold, the winner will receive 90% of one-half (50%) of the gross raffle ticket sales – less Federal withholding of 24%. The 90% will be paid directly to the winner. If the winner is a Michigan resident, there will be an additional withholding of 4.25%. Winner must be a U.S. Citizen.
14. The winner may select the vehicle of their choice at a U.S. Dealership designated (see rule #13). Any expenses incurred to take possession of the vehicle, which exceed the 1st prize payment check awarded to the Dealer, will be the sole responsibility of the the prize winner. The winner will be responsible for all licensing, registration, taxes, fees, duties, insurance, and other costs as well as transportation to and from the Dealership.
15. The withholding deposited on behalf of the winner may not be all of the taxes owed depending upon the winner’s tax bracket. The gross amount of the prize will be added to the winner’s income for the tax year of 2023 and the winner is solely responsible for determining the full extent of his/her tax reporting obligations.
16. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for MBCA to use the winner’s name, Section affiliation, likeness and photograph in any MBCA publicity worldwide in all media including the Internet without additional compensation.
17. By participating in the Raffle, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
